Academic Integrity & Plagiarism
Safeguarding academic integrity is a fundamental pillar of the IDS program. Plagiarism and appropriation of foreign achievements constitute a severe breach of ethical rules.
Extensive Plagiarism (First Incident)
In cases of extensive plagiarism at a rate higher than the limits provided by the anti-plagiarism regulation of the University of Peloponnese, the assignment must be re-prepared on a completely different theme, and one (1) point is deducted from the final score.
Repeat Violations & Recidivism
In case of repetition of plagiarism, the student is referred directly to the Ethics Committee of the University of the Peloponnese, in strict accordance with the provisions of the institutional Code of Conduct and Good Practice.
Plagiarism in Thesis & Degree Revocation
If extensive textual identification or plagiarism in a graduate's work is subsequently ascertained, the Senate examines the case thoroughly and retains the legal right to revoke the granting of the degree.
The disciplinary offense is statute-barred after **five (5) years**. This limitation period applies strictly to the disciplinary elements and not to the Senate's authority to revoke the degree.
Regulatory Framework & Compliance
Any appropriation of foreign achievements represents an ethical violation and will be referred to competent disciplinary bodies. In all cases, the provisions of the disciplinary and anti-plagiarism regulations of the University of the Peloponnese apply.
