Vital Prerequisites
  • Passing Score: Grade ≥ 5 is mandatory for ECTS allocation.
  • Laboratories: Compulsory attendance & minimum performance criteria apply.
  • Integrity: Violations invoke strict penalties via the Ethics Code.

1. Combined Assessment Framework

Student benchmarking leverages integrated methods detailed inside each course outline. These modern mechanisms encompass final and intermediate exams, laboratory reports, group assignments, standalone case studies, programming blueprints, and interactive e-learning platform metrics. Weight distribution ratios set by instructors remain immutable during the active semester.

2. Passing Cutoffs & Failure Mechanics

Successful course wrap-up demands a minimum score of five (5) to log academic points into individual registries. Unsuccessful outcomes trigger mandatory remediation cycles during designated revision schedules. Persistent failure across consecutive academic cycles results in formal separation from the program, unless exceptional circumstances are verified.

Successful Pass: Grades equal or higher than 5 immediately unlock ECTS credits.
Repeated Failure: Requires re-registration, complete lecture attendance, and repeating lab blocks.

3. Governance, Appeals & Transparency

Operational activities adhere strictly to equality, transparency, and objective metrics. Faculty members share assessment rubrics beforehand and provide documented feedback swiftly. Students hold comprehensive rights to inspect scripts. Substantive grading disputes can be elevated via formal petitions to the EPS within an exclusive 1-week deadline from mark announcements, invoking an independent 2-member re-evaluation committee.

Reasonable Adjustments & Support

The regulatory framework formally incorporates specialized facilities, accommodations, or alternative evaluation formats for individuals with verified educational exceptions, upon structural approval by executive university boards.

Institutional Integrity Protocol: Any trace of academic misconduct (plagiarism, copying, or unauthorized collusion) is strictly prosecuted under the Code of Ethics of the University of the Peloponnese.
